Contact Customer Service About Any Questions
The following links provide answers to frequently asked questions. If you have any other questions, please call (888) 411-9661 between 9:00 AM and 6:00 PM EST Monday through Friday.
Yes. Carrier411 was the first carrier monitoring service to incorporate SMS BASIC scores as soon as data was released on December 12, 2010. Learn more about Safety Management System BASIC Scores.
Yes. We can import a list of MC numbers for your carriers if you can export them from your software database. Importing MC numbers is the quickest and easiest way to get carriers added to your Carrier411 monitoring list. Provide only the 6-digit MC numbers in a Microsoft Excel file. If possible, please export only the MC numbers for your active carriers.

If you have the MC numbers of your carriers in your brokerage software database, it should be easy to export them to an Excel file. All we need are the MC numbers in one column as shown above. We do not need any other information. You can email the Excel file to [email protected]. Please be sure to include your contact information in the body of the email so we know it's coming from you.
During the import, our system bounces each MC number provided against our master database of every single MC number that exists. When the MC number matches, it adds it to your monitoring list. If an MC number does not match, that means you provided us with an invalid MC number. Our system generates an exclusion report automatically, which gets emailed back to you when the import process is complete. That way you know the bad MC numbers you have in your system, so they can be corrected.
Most transportation management software provides the ability to export data. If you are unsure how to export data, please ask your IT department or contact your software vendor for assistance. We can import your list of MC numbers the same day we receive the data file. You can also add and delete carriers manually. Please call us at (888) 411-9661 to discuss importing your carrier list.
Yes. We do this quite often for customers after they have re-evaluated their carrier base and decided to stop using certain carriers. The better approach is for us to delete your monitoring list and import a new list of MC numbers for your active carriers as described above.
You can email the Excel file to [email protected]. Please be sure to include your contact information in the body of the email, and specify that you would like the MC numbers deleted from your account.

TIA members that are Performance Certified are dedicated to the highest level of ethics and adopt strict best practices by adhering to the Performance Certified Program rules. Avalon Risk Management, Inc. supports that commitment by partnering with TIA to offer the increased surety levels.
The Performance Certified program offers a competitive advantage to transportation brokers by providing a guarantee of freight payment to carriers, shippers and other third-party logistics providers in excess of the $10,000 bond required by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) to conduct business. This bond is not intended to pay cargo claims.
You can report carriers and brokers for performance issues based on a variety of designated criteria using our integrated FreightGuard reporting system. It lets you see reports submitted by other members, and it enables you to submit your own reports about any company. Information provided in FreightGuard reports are solely the opinions of our members and not necessarily the opinions of Carrier411.

Our exclusive carrier qualification settings feature provides the ability for you to indicate your company's standards for qualifying and selecting carriers based on operating authority status, insurance, safety ratings and CSA 2010 BASIC scores.
Carrier Qualification Lights
Carrier qualification lights (green, yellow, red) each change depending on the carrier's status, so you will know instantly if there is a problem with the CSA 2010 BASIC scores, carrier safety rating, authority or insurance.

When the carrier qualification settings feature is enabled, your settings will be applied when you look up a carrier. Information will be displayed to indicate whether the company meets or fails your requirements, or if management review is required to make a hiring decision.
Company Policy Displayed
The company policy light will indicate whether the carrier is acceptable, not acceptable or requires management review. If it is determined that management review is required to make a hiring decision, specific instructions that you configured will be displayed. You can even lock your settings so they cannot be modified by anyone not authorized to change them.
Microsoft Excel Export
There is even a Microsoft Excel carrier qualification report that can be created on demand. It identifies all your carriers that are acceptable, not acceptable or require management review, based on your settings.
