CSV File Download

Contact Customer Service About Any Questions

Welcome to the developer documentation for our CSV File Download feature. If you have questions or would like the CSV File Download enabled for your account, please call (888) 411-9661 between 9:00 AM and 6:00 PM EST Monday through Friday. Access to this feature is disabled by default. It is only available to Carrier411 customers with an active account, and it is not available for trial accounts. This optional add-on feature can be enabled for an additional $49.00 per month. We reserve the right to allow access to the CSV File Download feature.

If you monitor thousands of carriers, then you know how time-consuming it can be to update records in your transportation software. Consider the consequences if you overlook updating certain carriers. Integration with Carrier411 using our CSV File Download feature can automate the update process, save you valuable time, improve efficiency, and help protect your business from using the wrong carriers.

As an alternative to our more robust Web Services Interface, we can provide access to a comma-separated values (CSV) file that gets created on demand. Compared to accessing data with our Web Services Interface, our CSV File Download feature provides an easier (but more limited) way to access information about companies monitored by your Carrier411 account. Carrier411 CSV file data provides the current authority status, insurance, carrier safety ratings and SMS BASIC information for you to integrate with your transportation software. Again, it provides information for all companies being monitored by your Carrier411 account.

In simple terms, your server communicates with our server. By scheduling one daily request to our CSV File Download feature, your software system can keep its database up-to-date automatically within a matter of seconds. You can also obtain information about the companies you monitor that have FreightGuard Reports using our FreightGuard Reports CSV File Download. Learn more about our integrated FreightGuard Reporting System.

FreightGuard Reports CSV File Download

In addition to downloading information about the companies you monitor using the CSV File Download feature (documented above), you can also obtain and maintain information about the companies you monitor that have FreightGuard Reports.

The Carrier411 website has an integrated FreightGuard Reporting System that lets members report companies (carriers, brokers, freight forwarders) for performance issues based on a variety of designated criteria:

  • • In-transit agreement modification
  • • Operates under alias
  • • Cancelled after accepting load
  • • Persistent cancelling
  • • Unresolved claim issues
  • • Unethical or deceptive business practices
  • • Repeated pickup or delivery service failures
  • • Fraudulent activity

  • • Held load hostage
  • • Operates without bond or trust fund
  • • Brokers freight without broker or FF authority
  • • Payment issues
  • • No show and no call
  • • Unauthorized re-brokering of shipment
  • • Back-solicited shipper
  • • Theft or unjustified loss of freight

FreightGuard Report information can be obtained and maintained using the FreightGuard Reports CSV File Download. Information provided in FreightGuard Reports are solely the opinions of members and not necessarily the opinions of Carrier411.

The FreightGuard Reports CSV File identifies all companies monitored by your Carrier411 account that have FreightGuard Reports. To maintain accurate information in your TMS software database about companies with FreightGuard Reports, initiate the FreightGuard Reports CSV File Download one time each day in the morning.

Before you process data returned by the FreightGuard Reports CSV File Download, we suggest you reset or clear all FreightGuard Report information in your TMS Software database for all companies that previously had FreightGuard Reports; then you can process the data returned by the FreightGuard Reports CSV File Download. Because FreightGuard Reports are submitted, released, edited, updated, and deleted every day, clearing any existing FreightGuard Report information before processing data returned by the FreightGuard Reports CSV File Download is the only way you can maintain accurate FreightGuard Report information.
